My network was set to dhcp, and I changed to static IP. However, it
did not come up. The command "ifconfig" did not list the eth0 port,
and after running "rcnetwork restart" it did not appear.

Running Yast again, I discovered it was set to "don't start eth0".
After I changed that, it is working Ok.

About the system name, I had to change it on two different places in
the network configuration, two tabs.

So network is OK here.
