Hi,

after a long time (two weeks), we were able to finish a build for
openSUSE:Factory again. Upload just finished.

Known issues are:

* patterns are not accessable in yast
* ppc is not there yet

is anybody using the current factory tree?

most likely not, I just found a bug :/

fixing ...

It does at least not work out of the box for me:

localhost:~ # LANG=CC zypper clean -a
All repositories have been cleaned up.

localhost:~ # LANG=CC zypper ref -f
Forcing raw metadata refresh
Retrieving repository 'factory-oss' metadata [done]
Forcing building of repository cache
Building repository 'factory-oss' cache [done]

The repository contains 2.6.27.1 which should be listed below. As far as I
can see zypper does not find a single package from the factory repo. It
does find packages from other repos.

localhost:~ # LANG=CC zypper search --details kernel-default
Loading repository data...
Reading installed packages...

S | Name | Type | Version | Arch | Repository
--+----------------------+---------+-------------+------+------------------
i | kernel-default | package | 2.6.27-12.1 | i586 | (System Packages)
i | kernel-default | package | 2.6.27-7.1 | i586 | (System Packages)
i | kernel-default-base | package | 2.6.27-12.1 | i586 | (System Packages)
i | kernel-default-extra | package | 2.6.27-12.1 | i586 | (System Packages)

localhost:~ # LANG=CC zypper sl --details
3 | factory-oss | factory-oss

| Yes | No | 99 | yast2 |

http://download.opensuse.org/factory/repo/oss/

This did work with the last sync (i.e. Oct 3rd).

Any ideas?

greetings
Felix Möller
