We release them as fast as we can and going to other days would mean a change to our long loved processes. Basically Releasing on monday would mean we have to finish internally on friday without any buffers - and then lose the weekend for testing... We've learned to prefer to start doing the first isos on tuesday and release them asap - and that means release them on thursdays,
You may be right, depending whether you are getting "useful" bug reports at the same rate during weekends and workdays or not.
