There are MANY issues with 11.0 besides KDE that need fixing, like there were 
and still are issues with 10.3 that needed fixing that 11.0 sucessfully 
addressed in many cases that had nothing to do with KDE.  

For instance, in 10.3, the package manager worked, barely, and was very slow.   
The 11.0 release of the package manager fixed that by replacing it with a new 
package that works so well, it is almost reason enough to upgrade from 10.3 to 
11.0.   Additionally, the repair feature in 10.3 was broken so badly, that it 
took a 2nd (badly done, but sort of workable) release of a special boot CD to 
be able to even run it, eg, if your system couldn't boot to the OS, you 
couldn't get to the repair system to make it bootable.   Ver 11.0 fixed most of 
the flaws with the repair system however left many issues (such as LVM and RAID 
installation/repair) weak or unsupported.   My point is that despite 11.0 
ramming KDE 4.0 pre-alpha down our throat, at least it left 3.5.9 on the system 
and mostly intact.   When I say 'mostly intact', I mean some of the 3.5.x 
utilities were replaced for no reason I could see, by 4.0 "equivelent" 
utilities, which in many cases didn't work, or didn't work as well (IMO) and 
forced me and I'm sure others to track down the 3.5.x utils and install them.   
But, for the most part, KDE 3.5.9 was left intact and users were given a CHOICE 
to use the new 'cutting-edge' desktop or the 
old-beatup-soon-to-be-unsupported-archaic-dinosauristic KDE 3.5.x desktop.   

Given that significant releases address much more than just the desktop, like 
the package manager and repair system previously mentioned, it stands to reason 
that when 11.1 comes out, issues like Wifi working in 10.3 very well (for me) 
and not at all (for me with the same equipment) in 11.0.   I would hope also 
such issues as the remaining issues with the repair system insofar as LVM and 
RAID repair issues will have been addressed.   These and other issues are ample 
reason for virtually anyone to want to upgrade from 11.0 to 11.1 and in the 
future to 11.2 REGARDLESS of the state of KDE 4.x AS LONG as a functional 
version of KDE which currently exists in the form of 3.5.9 exists and is 
available on the distro media (remember, not everyone in this world using 
openSuSE has wideband networking, or even *any* networking to get 'backports'). 
  These people may be a minority but we should not take the M$ mentality and 
force people to buy the latest gee-whizz computer hardware to support the OS.   
Linux has always done a super job of supporting the Model T's of the computer 
world as well as the Lambrodini's.

PS, I am aware that occasionally I use CAPS in my posts.   I do that for 
emphasis, not for yelling.   I have seen perfectly valid posts poo-poo'd 
primarily by proponents of the opposite opinion (and often without, or 
incapbable of a, better response) because there were caps used by the poster.   
Caps are a valid punctuation.   If the entire post is all caps then that might 
be construed as shouting, but captilizing words or phrases should be construed 
as emphasis and should not subject the poster to ridicule.   IMO
