No, the FOSS community does whatever the developers want to do.  If they
want to just write "bling", then that's exactly what they can and will
do, and you and anyone else can have absolutly no say over it at all.

If you don't like it, start sending patches, the process is very easy to
get involved with.  Ranting on this list isn't going to help it any.

p.s. I vote for "A - stick with 4.x and no 3.5", it's been working in
FACTORY for me just fine for quite a while now.
