well the weird stuff is, that the x86 and x64-86 and other delta stuff from rc1 to goldmaster all went fine.
just to clarify, i am speaking about opensuse 11.0 here. going from rc1 to gm. hashchecking and applydeltaisoing being done at a running opensuse 11.0 x86/i386 rc1+/factory system. i have openSUSE-11.0-RC1_GM-DVD-i386.delta.iso 100% f9ae256df8da5c5df05fe6860996b51c openSUSE-11.0-RC1_GM-DVD-ppc.delta.iso 100% d30c516613ddc2a2360df65e67993605 openSUSE-11.0-RC1_GM-DVD-x86_64.delta.iso 100% e8772f3f22c06d9391b28779b78c9f44 (md5sum file says they are ok. also md5sum file is signed) patching the 11.0 rc1 dvd iso images of x86 and x86-64 with these delta files went completely fine and without any problems. resulting in these two files so far: openSUSE-11.0-DVD-i386.iso 100% ed6a5b3feb668866df812b1c2aed9d7f openSUSE-11.0-DVD-x86_64.iso 100% 512c8346b0f8eb35f28c4eb96454d391
so i wonder why the ppc delta doesnt work.
only the 11.0 rc1 to goldmaster with the delta image fails. it doesnt fail immediately though, its patching and updating many of the inside packages and writing the output .iso image file for quite a while, before it fails and applydeltaiso then telling me also about the md5sum mismatch (of the result file i guess...) like i said, i have tried this several times over, and all the files seem according to the signed md5sum hashcodes. everything is being done on a running i386 opensuse 11.0 rc1+ (some updates of the factory tree some weeks back) anybody? thanks. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
