Hallo,

my sound doesn t work.
The card worked fine under 10.3.

alsaconf shows

E: socket-client.c: socket(): Die Adressfamilie wird von der
Protokollfamilie nicht unterstützt
*** PULSEAUDIO: Unable to connect: Connection refused
aplay: main:583: audio open error: Verbindungsaufbau abgelehnt

if you are running under GNOME:

1) check pulseaudio daemon is running (ps aux | grep pulse)
2) make sure you have all the latest alsa* packages as well as
pulseaudio

no pulse is running
what are the right packages and the right startup-commandos

alsa* and alsa-plugins-pulse for alsa-based apps, pulseaudio,
padevchooser, paprefs, paman, pavucontrol, pavumeter. Then, if pulse is
not running:

$ pulseaudio -D

after this, on a GNOME desktop, all sound apps should work
