Simple: the icon sitting in the bottom RH of the taskbar, next to the 
clock, show a yellow triangle with '!'  and when you put the cursor it 
you get an eye-full of an error message stating that the repositories 
are illegal and cannot be accessed.

However, if one goes to Yast2 Control Centre and does the Online update, 
and/or do the scan the repositories for any new upgrades, there is no 
problem- the repositories are checked with no error messages.

The problem - I found out by accident last night - is that for the 
upgrade checker (bottom RH of taskbar) to stop coming up with the yellow 
triangle and to stop coming up with the error message(s) is to use the 
Remove/Add Repositories option in that icon and to ADD "/suse/" at the 
end of the URLs for the OSS and NON-OSS repositories.

Perplexed from OZ.
