[opensuse-factory] Beta3 and root filesystem

Funny thing happened when I installed 11.0 Beta 3 onto my PC. When
installing new version of Linux, I format my
partitions (swap, boot and root). For Beta 3 installation, I told to use my partitions instead of making own. It installed
ok, with some problems I thought were because of Beta 3. For example, when pressing $ and ~ keys I did not get
characters. Well, on Thursday I thought to take backups. I use xfs on root partition, and use xfsdump for backup.
However, it told / is not filesystem. I typed "xf", and there was no / filesystem!
Today I reinstalled Beta 3 and found out that the installation has "do not mount filesystem" as default. I made
it mount the / and now my keyboard works!
So, where was my / directory on the previous try, and why did the installation not warn about missing root ?
