I had been using factory all day. I tried hibernation, worked, thawing,
worked... then I tried Yast to install some packages; I went out of the room
for a minute and when I came
back it was hard crashed. The screen was frozen, keyboard and mouse non
operative (not even the leds). Had to hard reset. When I rebooted there was
nothing at all in the logs. I
had to rebuild the rpm database, it was corrupted in the crash.

I use hibernation several times a day in version 10.3 with no problems (not
in this class, anyway). Sometimes I keep the machine running for weeks
continuously, there is no
hardware problem here. Video is NVidia, but I'm using the open driver. This
seems a software crash...

I have no hard clue to it yet, but I'm suspecting something related to
hibernation or triggered by it.
that is interesting I am seeing hard crashes too with current factory. But I
have no idea how to reproduce them. They happen every 12 hours or so I think.

I am using a MacBook with intel graphics and using suspend (s2ram)
occasionally. Have never used s2disk.

I have not opened a report yet as I have no idea what these crashes are about,
but there is nothing in the logs...

Same here, Gateway, stock install. No logs. That is why I too have not
reported it in bugzilla. I do not know what to report than a hard crash.
