Just tried to install OS11.0beta2 kde from live-cd on an old PC:

800 mhz Athlon
256 Ram
Geforce mx400

the installer suggests to install the new system only in runlevel 3.

Is this because of low ram and old graphics or is this a bug?

Most likely it is only a low ram prob.
Cann't you add another 256, to see if the message still comes up?

not tested.

And I found it reported on the suse-pages.
I hadn't only been my problem. Shouldn't be solved in b3.

Or maybe make (*) / use existing swap partition on the hard disc, once
the installer is under way switch to a terminal e.g. Control-Alt-F2 and
do "swapon /dev/sda1" or whatever

(*) making a swap is well documented elsewhere, but in essence use fdisk
to create a partition ~ 2x RAM size & of type 'swap'. Then run "mkswap
/dev/sda1" or whatever to prepare it. These steps can also be done at
the above stage, though if changing partition structure I'd advise to
re-start the installation afterwards.

Thanks, I knew this.

If doing this, ensure partitioning in installer is NOT set to format or
delete the swap partition before agreeing to 'Install'...
