Hello, should we open a new bugreport for this then or simply clear up the misunderstanding in the old one and continue? Greets, Chris Am Sonntag, den 27.04.2008, 13:52 +0200 schrieb Stephan Kulow:

BUG confirmed.
On installation with GNOME-desktop, yast2-gtk won't be installed.
GNOME used the QT-interface for YaST.
This can be solved by installing yast2-gtk manually.
Apparently this is NOT what we want. Seems to me some people are very quick closing bugs as 'invalid' once more... I wish that kind of behavior would stop.
The bug in itself is INVALID as it reported that there were packages removed after image deployment. This is actually normal - what is not normal though is that a package that is wanted is removed :)
The problem is that the images are generated in a clean environment while the actual list of packages to be installed depends on what's on DVD and what patterns are selected, etc. To understand why yast2-gtk was removed we need the full logs and not just the snippet that pointed to the removal.
Greetings, Stephan
