Hi List,

With installation now complete (!) I now have problems booting on this
iMAC G3 (350 MHz PPC, 512M RAM). It runs fairly well when started via
boot CD -> install -> "boot installed system", but iMAC "Open Firmware"
(as I believe the BIOS equivalent is known?) won't see it, I just get
the flashing "?"

Network Installation used default options for everything (especially
language / timezone etc. - that bug bites on PPC too) but I examined the
suggestions and they all looked sensible. In a nutshell:

/dev/hda1       8G      Extended        Extended partition
/dev/hda5       32M     MacHFS          no mount, boot loader
/dev/hda6       768M    Linux Swap      swap
/dev/hda7       5G      Linux (ext3)    /
/dev/hda8       ~2G     Linux (ext3)    /home


Before I head off to Bugzilla, does anyone have any suggestions please?
I've looked on various fora and even tried googling "linux imac boot"
without any joy :-(
