I'am using a 10.3 installation for working and a factory installation for playing. To be up to date , the first thing I have to do when booting factory, is to run the update. But often this lasts 2 hours and then there is no time to play with factory any more :-(. My idea is now, to run the update for factory in the background when running the 10.3 installation.
Have you tried using zypper to do this? Boot to your factory install, have factory as the only repo and use zypper dup which will provide a distribution update to the running system and still allow you to "play". The exact steps are in the list archives. -- Ken Schneider SuSe since Version 5.2, June 1998 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
