Looks like you are not the only one. Someone else I know also failed to get sax2/xwindows to start on VMWare.

I had two of the problems mentioned on the MAB (Most Annoying Bugs) site for 11.0, no "X" and the install failed problem. This was with using VirtualBox as the test machine.

So, shall I report this? Anyone else experimenting this problem?

Add your comments to this bug... https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=347788 I know for a fact that the original reporter of this bug had the vmware issue, and then I follwed up with the e7221 issue.
