use either iwl or ipw. if you use ipw, please install ipw3945d. if you use iwl, make sure the firmware package is installed.
sorry for the delay, i just dont had the time to test this. So, iwl seems not to work with my comp, it seems to get no connection to my AP. Tried the old ipw-stuff, still with kernel 2.6.22.5-10, didnt work either. Updated to kernel 2.6.22.5-16, which has also new ipw-kernel-modules, but still didnt work. At some point i recongnized that the ipw3945d wasnt installed anymore, so my question is: Why? If it was deinstalled when i first updated to kernel 2.6.22.5-12, which automatically installed also the iwl-kernel-modules as dependencies, why then the old ipw-kernel-module would not be deinstalled too? And later, when i tried to reinstall the ipw-kernel-module, why this dont have the daemon as a dependecy? i think it must not be possible to install both kernel-modules at the same time, and when the ipw-kernel-module will be installed, the daemon should be selected automatically. regards, Jens --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
