I installed 10.3 beta 1 using KDE CD. There was some problems with Yast
(repository database locked or similar
errormessages), so I used zypper to install programs (I finally solved
the problem by removing cds as repositories).
One of the programs was ImageMagick. When I tried the display command, I
got: "bus error". Ok, I thought, lets
check the libraries. But, ldd gave:
% ldd `which display`
/usr/bin/ldd: line 124: 5675 Bus error
LD_TRACE_LOADED_OBJECTS=1 LD_WARN= LD_BIND_NOW=
LD_LIBRARY_VERSION=$verify_out LD_VERBOSE= "$@"
What good is of ldd that does not list missing libraries, if that is the
problem?
zypper info gave:
Information for package ImageMagick:
Repository:
Name: ImageMagick
Version: 6.3.5.3-10
Arch: i586
Installed: Yes
