Hey SuSE;
So far Alpha 5 has very welcome new feature. That is - during a install the install script request to setup the Network before off loading files.rpms from the DVD. It is good because something is missing from the DVD/CD Yast will go look for it before stating the file is missing.
It did miss getting a copy of the latest Release Notes. However, a set of Release Notes did showup after setting up "User" info.
First reboot the VGA= information was not supplied based on my original setup.
I noted a KDE Updater effort to upgrade the same file that the Setup update did. already update.
Problem!! when I went back to a F2 - F6 tty session the LCD just flashes. F7 or F8 fail to return to KDE. Further more the machine is lockup. I have not set the runlevel options yet.
This machine is a LapTop HP NC6400/Intel 945 GM/512M memory- SuSE SLED worked correctly. I set it via SaX2 from SuSE's setup 24 bit to 16 bit and so far it is working.
