Hello all,
I installed Alpha5 on my T40 Thinkpad and k3b doesn't see my CD/DVD device.
I get the following message when I open "No CD/DVD writer found" when I open k3b
I have a similar problem in that yast didn't "see" the installation media DVD when I tried
to install more packages from the installation media DVD. (The same installation DVD that I
used to install Alpha5 on my T40.
I also installed Alpha5 under VMware on 10.2 and I noticed the same problem e.g. k3b doesn't
see my CD/DVD device.
Can anyone else confirm or deny that their CD/DVD device works fine on Alpha5 and that they
can burn CD's?
BTW, the process of adding update sources and adding / removing packages is a lot faster
now. That's an excellent improvement.
Regards
James
