Uhm, I cannot remember having said that ;-)
autofs5 of course keeps the two component structure: User space daemon and
kernel module. The Version 5 is related only to the user space daemon, the
autofs4 kernel module is still required.

Default setup will work out of the box.
I forgot to mention that current Suse quirks (separating maptype and map-name
by space instead of colon) which do not comply with the official configuration
syntax of master maps will not work. But this is minor and will be documented.
