Absolutely, but in this case, the bulk of ISA/PNP support seems to have
been left behind. I don't understand all the details, but the HAL
layer is also involved.

Like I said, these problems are not show stoppers. I just thought I had
spotted a trend in openSUSE development - a trend I am not too thrilled
about.
