Problem was the screen where you enter this is the one trashed :-(
The work around was to have some doco that had screen shots that I could
use to guess the right keypresses to be able to use the F3 (IIRC) to
select VGA mode or enter options like above.
Guess I will have to upgrade the monitor when it finally buys the big
one. But that it not likely soon, as I said it is unplugged most of the
time.
