I have a 250 GB USB drive that works just fine in 10.0. I have two machines where the following can be reproduced: When booted to 10.2 the power indicator led on the disk enclosure is lit, the USB drive starts to spin, the disk activity led blinks. Then the power indicator led on the disk enclosure blinks once (off and on again) real briefly and everything starts all over again and again. Off course the heads of the disk click while this is happening so you don't want that to repeat many times. This can be done in two machines, one being USB 2 the other is USB 1(.1?) only. When booted to 10.0 everything works in both machines. Normally I connect the drive, it appears as /dev/sda1 and mount it manually to a directory. What should I look for in these machines? Where is the crucial info about this and what is it, to be able to file a possible bug? -- Vahis Motorcycling, Boating and openSUSE: http://waxborg.servepics.com "Why wait any longer for the world to begin?
