(what do i want to achieve, but what happens instead..like the selling of SuSE, who of us realy wanted that? and who could have stopped it?)
In hindsight I am very happy that Novell bought it. They opens SUSE up. They put YaST under GPL. They realized openSUSE. They gave SUSE a future. The alternative would have been probably SUSE closing shop and RedHat as the single serious Linux player.
See? I for me would not have thought SuSE would have closed the shop.. But recently MS bought SuSE from novell, and since i know Novell from the past (tekstwriter story) i saw it coming about a year ago.. Things you cannot stop, you simply can not stop. So why waste time on it? SuSE is sold to Windows, that is what many people shook down the chair... I also think, just continue the way, lead the market. Many people that wanted a change to another os, but underestimated themselves, and stayed with the dictator, get a second chance now... Anyway, Linux is taken very serious now... that we gained.
