I selected the smart channel http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source and selected packages for upgrade, but the packages downloaded are not the same as in the i586 directory, e.g smart downloads and upgrades to flex-2.5.33-17, but there is only flex-2.5.33-20 available in factory. During the package download, smart points to the correct directory. I have no other channels setup and I'm puzzled as to what is happening, why it seems to be downloading a RPM that seems non-existent and always at a lower revision than seen in factory.
Seems the repository metadata is not in sync with the RPM files.
That's understandable -- AFAIK Factory is currently being synced to RC1 state.
I'm afraid you're going to have to wait for the sync to be completed. (would be nice to announce it on this list BTW)
cheers
Thanks - that explains it, probably it was using a backup while the sync was in progress. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ...
