Hi,
Main Conclusion:
-As subject, the system is now unstable: Freezes, Crashes, and irregular behaviour when booting/rebooting, are unpredictable..
-The upgrade never realy finished, some 3 or four packages (big ones about 350MB as shown in the package installation window )have never been installed, or have shut down without confirmation.
( i do not know what if upgrading from dvd, going to try after finishing this conclusion.)
(After that i will evaluate, than try a clean install.)
-The start menu also is unpredictable with the 'leave' options: Sometimes more than half the options aren't there, only the ones with suspend, (for laptops) are. (if there are variable options, one can choose, they should be clearly formulated, being found. fi. in the menu itself. if not it is a bug.)
-YaST2 does not crash when no media is in the drive anymore.(positive!)
-ZMD, Rug and zenupdater still have odd dependencies, when trying to uninstall.
-GnuPG agent is not realy stable: says sometimes it does not run, but does, and is visible.
-Knetworkmanager is still crashing every startup.
-Suseupdater complains about sources, sometimes..
-Ktorrent is unstable, if connection fails it should not crash.
-Open office takes very long time to start up, more than 60 secs.
-smart is not able to update the given channels, but can install and uninstall without any problem i have seen.
