"update status" is not running, the only package management related processes
seem to be one or two "parse-metadata" processes and a "zypp-checkpatch"
process. Each takes at least 10% CPU.
The KDE updater applet forever is in the status "Checking for updates", and
even the YAST package management stuff is unusable as another process is
allegedly accessing the package database.
