Hi,
how does the download.opensuse.org redirector deal with
dead/unmaintained mirrors?
I just tried to check for Factory updates by downloading this file
http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source/media.1/media
and was redirected to this mirror:
http://ftp.heanet.ie/mirrors/ftp.opensuse.org/opensuse/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source/media.1/media
The mirror is obviously useless, the media file is totally outdated
(20060616083724), a repodata directory does not exist and most of the
RPM subdirectories are almost empty.
Would it be possible to enhance the redirector by auto-detecting such
broken mirrors?
