(Hope I got the right prepost) Are you sure that caps-lock wasn't
activated while you entered the password? I'm just asking because this
happened to me in the install process of 10.2alpha4 and so I couldn't
log in again. Therefore I opened a feature request on Novell's bugzilla
(https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=205059). Just asking.
