Very early in install, "Kernel panic - not syncing: attempted to kill
init!" occurs just after "freeing unused kernel memory" message, which
is followed by "SMP" alone on a line. Hardware isn't SMP...
it upon doesn't support SMP as yet (see below).
We only use SMP kernels now (see my announcement ;-) - and those
should work on single CPUs as well. If not, please file a bug report,
so that we can investigate. Please try the other boot options as
well,
