gdb is needed to get backtraces e.g for KDE application. How much useful
So why not requiring this from the package in KDE that is responsible to handle this KDE backtrace dialog (kdelibs3?) instead of putting it because of KDE in a selection that is completely unrelated to KDE. I _personally_ don't really care because I have a complete tool chain installed on _every_ system anyway to automatically use their build power in the build cluster but in my opinion putting such stuff in a minimal base selection makes minimization efforts pretty absurd.
