smart upgrade --update I just added that command on my blog entry (with the URL above).
rpm. I selected update all, but that took a very few minutes, updating maybe a dozen or so packages.

.channel files in /etc/smart/channels/ are not the ones that are
actually used by smart. Those are channel files included by the packager
(me) and that are proposed for inclusion the first time you run smart.
To show the list of actually configured channels, the command is
smart channel --show
