This raises a few issues that were mentioned briefly in the status meeting. Firstly if the mechanism is now to add a single mirror at installation then what happens if that mirror is down/broken ( as mine was on install ) or not synched? Also, why is there no clear mechanism for configuring update options by adding or selecting an alternative online udpate mirror? What was wrong with the previous method allowing the user to be able to select his/her update source when he/she started YOU? Finally, *how* on earth do I add a mirror for YOU?
Since we handle patches the same way as packages in an integrated view now with the new package manager library, a few things have changed. Support for mirrors in a way as YOU did is not there anymore - but now added to the feature list, we need something like that. As a bandaid: You can run suseRegister manually and will get a new mirror setup.
