Hi! Once a local admin had the following message during boot: "If you do not want to erase your previous settings, press ESC within 5 seconds". Most people needed 5s to read the message, a few more to think, ... ;-) However if there is no time-out, I'd expect people to look at the screen and read. The real question is this: Shouldn't it be asked before SuSEconfig runs? Regards, Ulrich On 15 Mar 2006 at 9:38, Joseph M. Gaffney wrote:
Just a quick usability point - at the end of using Software Management, the question comes up "Would you like to Add or Remove More Packages?" with a "yes" and "no" button. Many people just look at the answers and not the question (I just caught myself doing it, and almost selected the wrong option). Perhaps the old way, "Finish" would be a better option instead of "No"? Maybe "Add More Packages" and "Finished Installing" would be good options.
Whichever really; I just don't think "Yes" and "No" for what they mean are good choices.
