Hello all
>I can't install SUSE 10.1 b5 under Vmware
>(VmwareWorkstation-5.5.1-19175)
> Are there any work arounds?
After reading through old list emails I found a work around from
suggested by Christian Boltz
>>Try sax2 -m 0=vesa as workaround (found in Bug 148211) - this
>>worked for me (IIRC only after a "init 6")
See screen shot at
"http://perso.wanadoo.fr/home/jpearson/SUSE-b5.3.png"
SaX2 started up with the following message
"Software Installation
Some packages are missing. Install the missing packages now"
See screen shot at
"http://perso.wanadoo.fr/home/jpearson/SUSE-b5.4.png"
This time Sax2 let me set up the video card hardware.
Configuration shots are available at
"http://perso.wanadoo.fr/home/jpearson/SUSE-b5.5.png" and
"http://perso.wanadoo.fr/home/jpearson/SUSE-b5.6.png"
Note : Despite the fact that I answered yes (to installing missing
packages) sax2 repeats the above question each time I re run it.
All coments welcome.
Regards
James
