Ah, ok... From my point of view the do the same (provide a consitent look and feel for GTK and QT apps when working with KDE) but in a different way.
My point was that the gtk-qt-engine package is unmaintained for over a year now (http://cvs.freedesktop.org/gtk-qt/gtk-qt-engine/) and that it doesn't work quite right for some GTK apps. So why not think about an alternative which might work better?
