Hi there,
I was looking around the last few days for a replacement for the (my opinion) crappy gtk_qt_engine. As far as I know this package is unmaintained at freedesktop.org and creates a lot of problems (like with eclipse, which I use permanently). Besides when using GTK-based apps under KDE with gtk_qt_engine, they look very [CENSORED] in many ways.
I found the very promising project qtcurve (http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=5065) which provides a unified widget theme engine for QT, GTK2 and GTK1. There are binary packages for Suse at Guru's RPM page (http://linux01.gwdg.de/~pbleser/rpm-navigation.php?cat=/Themes/qtcurve).
After some testing I think this is a very good replacement for gtk_qt_engine and I would like to vote for inclusion of this package into one of the next Suse/openSUSE releases.
What do you think?
Greetings
Jens Siebert
