If the ISOs are on the same PC, you can even go without NFS-Server. Start the
installation from the first CD (you can take alpha1 CD). Bevor performing the
real installation switch with Alt-F2 to console and create a directory for
the loop-mount of CD1
mkdir /CD1
make a directory for the partition, where the ISOs are and loopmount it
mkdir /isos
mount -o loop /isos/SUSE.... /CD1
eject the CD and switch to the Installation (Alt-F1/F7?). YaST will now
complain, that there is no CD in the drive. Mark the option 'Show details'
and change the URL to
dir:///CD1
After reboot, you have to do the same for CD2, CD3, CD4 and CD5. It sounds
more complex, than it really is and installation is very fast this way.
