Accesible es que la IP que añadas como puerta de enlace la tengas en la tabla de rutas y por lo que veo abajo, no la tienes.

¿Ves? No aparece como ruta 10.0.0.0. Tienes que añadirla antes:
route add -net 10.0.0.0 netmask 255.0.0.0 dev eth0
Y luego, ya podrás añadirla como puerta de enlace:
route add -host 172.21.0.21 gw 10.10.0.1

hice lo que me recomendaste, rcnetwork restart y route add -host 172.21.0.1 gw apolo dev eth0 SIOCADDRT: No such process
y lo mismo ...
Lo pone en el manual (man route)
