Por lo visto, se mezclo un problema de actualización, en lugar de como
hizo Opensuse, de sacarlo con una nueva distro, y con la opción de
instalar KDE 3.5 o 4.0, o en su defecto Gnome.
The GNOME people are talking about doing major surgery so it could
also go the other way.
Por lo que dice en el ultimo parrafo, Gnome se apresta a sufrir los
mismos efectos, por los cambios que tiene previstos.

El KDE 4.0 ya es viejo.
Hubiese sido bueno que hubieses puesto el link original de donde
sacaste esa info, para ver otros detalles, como por ejemplo, la fecha
de publicación, porque al dia de hoy, esa info es vieja, y fuera de
contexto. a no ser que a Linus se le halla dado por probar una versión
vieja de Fedora.
