Pues yo sabia muy bien con que ardware me metia, es que por estos lados de
Colombia le toca asi a los pobres (como uno), pero la cuestion es que SI se
permite aceleracion 3D:
------------------------------
3DStatus <http://wiki.openchrome.org/tikiwiki/tiki-index.php?page=3DStatus>
Version The 3D driver that complements the openchrome driver can be obtained
from the DRI project <http://dri.sourceforge.net/>. For now you should use
the Mesa-6.4 branch; the last version known to work sort of reliably is
Mesa-6.4.1. See the Building page
<http://dri.freedesktop.org/wiki/Building>for info on how to compile
it. If you can't get it running, check the page
on 3DTroubleShooting<http://wiki.openchrome.org/tikiwiki/tiki-index.php?page=3DTroubleShooting>.
The binary of the driver is called unichrome_dri.so and will be referred to
as the unichrome 3D driver.
Xgl, AIGLX, Compiz and funny stuff Xorg 7.1 will ship with AIGLX — that is
Accelerated Indirect GLX support. This means that the client program sends
commands to the X server that does the actual rendering, as opposed to
direct rendering where the client program does the rendering itself. AIGLX
is good for OpenGL displays over network, and is needed for some of the new
fancy compositing stuff.
To run the new fancy compositing desktops that use OpenGL as a backend, you
will need extensions and features that are not yet supported in the
unichrome 3D driver. This includes, among other things, support for big
textures and some blitting functions that are not yet accelerated. Efforts
are underway in the DRI project (initially with the i915 driver) to create a
general memory manager infrastructure on top of which these things can be
built, but it will take quite some time before these things can be
implemented in the unichrome 3D driver. Mainly because there is no
maintainer of the driver.
Bugs, Maintainers, etc. The 3D driver is not maintained by the openchrome
project. In fact, it is not maintained at all presently and has seen some
regressions with Mesa-6.5, such as misplaced software fallbacks, slow
texture rendering, etc. There are also a number of bugs in the driver that
result in frequent lockups, particularly on the
K8M800?<http://wiki.openchrome.org/tikiwiki/tiki-editpage.php?page=K8M800>hardware.
Should the maintainer status change, we will update this info.
Bugs should be filed in the freedesktop.org
bugzilla<https://bugs.freedesktop.org/buglist.cgi?query_format=advanced&short_desc_type=allwordssubstr&short_desc=&product=Mesa&component=Drivers%2FDRI%2FUnichrome&version=6.4&version=CVS&version=unspecified&long_desc_type=substring&long_desc=&bug_file_loc_type=allwordssubstr&bug_file_loc=&keywords_type=allwords&keywords=&bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=REOPENED&emailassigned_to1=1&emailtype1=substring&email1=&emailassigned_to2=1&emailreporter2=1&emailqa_contact2=1&emailcc2=1&emailtype2=substring&email2=&bugidtype=include&bug_id=&votes=&chfieldfrom=&chfieldto=Now&chfieldvalue=&cmdtype=doit&order=Bug+Number&field0-0-0=noop&type0-0-0=noop&value0-0-0=>.
Please check for known bugs there before filing a new one or asking on the
mailing lists.
