Estoy intentando montar una web, con apache, php, etc, el problema es que
necesito Mysql y no hay manera de iniciar el servidor ni nada, vamos.
Intento entrar en un xterm con "msql start", aviso que no tengo ni idea.
Los comandos los ejecuto como usuario, aunque como root es el mismo resultado.

ERROR 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket
'/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

Luego "/etc/init.d/mysql start"

Creating MySQL privilege database and starting MySQL...
hostname: Nombre de `host' no encontrado
Neither host '' and 'localhost' could not be looked up with
/usr/bin/resolveip
Please configure the 'hostname' command to return a correct hostname.
If you want to solve this at a later stage, restart this script with
the --force option
chmod: cambiando los permisos de «/var/lib/mysql»: Operación no permitida
chown: cambiando el propietario de «/var/lib/mysql/mysqld.log-20041127.gz»:
Operación no permitida

Sigo:"mysql_install_db"

Asi asta casi todos los comandos posibles y nada de nada, he estado mirando
por manuales en la web, mysql-hispano y no veo solucion, bueno una cosa el
archivo que se hace referencia en algunos foros llamado soct o algo asi no lo
tengo por ningun lado.
Me queda deciros que intentando inicializar el servidor desde yast y el editor
de niveles el mensaje que me sale es el siguiente:

Por cierto en el editor esta desactivado.
