No tengo scanner de puerto paralelo, pero si una zipera. A mi me sale:

parport0: PC-style at 0x378, irq 7 [PCSPP,TRISTATE,EPP]
parport0: device reported incorrect length field (61, should be 62)
parport0 (addr 0): SCSI adapter, IMG VP1
lp0: using parport0 (interrupt-driven).

Y cuando cargo el modulo 'imm' para usarla, entonces el kernel reporta:

No lo se, pero no GRITES, que no soy sordo. Debería reconocerte lo de EPP, 
quizás la bios no lo haya activado. O quizás tengas que cargar algun 
modulo.
