Unas cuantas dudas sobre el kernel:

1- ¿Qué paquetes hay que bajarse de 
ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/people/kraxel/i386/i586/ para el kernel 2.6?
2- ¿Puede el hardware estropearse por instalar el kernel?
En las instrucciones:

(0)  make a backup
(1)  install/update the three basic rpms listed above
     (using rpm -vh -U ...)
(1a) optionally install other update packages (if needed).
(2)  /sbin/generate-modprobe.conf | tee /etc/modprobe.conf
(3)  install kernel-*-26.rpm
(4)  add the new kernel to your boot loader
(5)  reboot

3- ¿A que se refiere el paso cuatro? ¿Agregar 
/ruta_al_nuevo_kernel/vmlinuz al GURB o a otras cosas?
