RV: [suse-linux-s] Nuevos drivers nVidia 1.0-5336

mmm les mando las primeras impresiones del foro de nvidia:
1. I tried them on my Gigabyte motherboard with the VIA KT600 chipset and
the FX 5900.
I still get the same black screen. ARGHH
back to the 4496 drivers again.
2. I tried this release with my MSI MX440-TD8X and the Alt+Ctrl+Fx text
consoles are always
garbled.
I'm back to release 4363
3. i recieved a black screen after my install of the new drivers. i then
rebooted and ran the --uninstall option with the installer and than
reinstalled the drivers and they now work beautifully. i hope this helps
anyone else with the same problem.
No muy bonitos por lo que veo, sin embargo el howto de SuSE ya se actualizo
al nuevo driver:
1) Kernel sources must be installed and configured. Usually this means
installing the 'kernel-source' package with YaST2. Update it - if not
already done - via YaST2 Online Update (YOU).
Aqui dice que hay que tener las fuentes del kernel.
2) Use the nvidia installer for 1.0-5336.
sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-5336-pkg1.run
Esto es lo normal ... ejecutar el instalador del driver
3) Configure XFree86 with
sax2 -m 0=nvidia (0 is a digit, not a letter!)
Esto es nuevo, como no sirve sax2 en modo grafico muestran como hacer el
cambio manualmente.
No queda más que probarlo y ver que pasa, ojala pueda seguir jugando mi
GTA3.

A la noche lo prueba mi hardware es así:
Chipset placa madre: VIA
Procesador: Athlon
tarj Video: Gforce 4 mx
Distro: SuSE 9.0, kernel 2.4
Si alguien tiene un equipo con algo distinto a eso le agradecería que si
instala el driver nos contara como le fue.
