A perfect candidate for Li-f-e but it only has CD-RW

Many older PC's only have CD drives so can not easily install (or run) Li-f-e.

A net install might be a nice option. Or an add-on CD.

The Live USB stick option should work (after I buy, and try, one).

I also suggest adding a DVD requirement to the below listed site.
http://en.opensuse.org/Education/Live states:
Minimum System Requirement
Any PC or a Virtual Machine with 512M RAM

Follow-up. No response requested. Bob

Purchased (surprised at the high cost) a 4GB USB stick and created a bootable Li-f-e.
It boots on a 1-1/2 year old PC. Didn't try an install, as a working PC.

Gift PC indicates it has USB booting, but did not boot Li-f-e.
USB port works, as the current XP OS sees the stick. Possible USB1 vs. USB2 problem ?

Li-f-e also does not boot on another older gift PC (no USB boot feature).
Used openSUSE 11.1 Live CD to do a network install.
It sees the USB stick as a CDRom, so the port works.

We also own 14 other PC's (2002 generation). No DVD or USB booting option, so no Li-f-e

As many libraries may be in this type situation, another option would be nice.
Keeping in mind inexperience in Linux, small cost (not needing to buy DVD drives or new PC's)

Possibly:
Bootable CD with Network Installation such as openSUSE 11.2 has
Add-on CD to use with openSUSE 11.2 Network Installation
Instructions for using openSUSE live CD to install Li-f-e from USB stick (or network), if it is possible to do this.
