Hi all,
Apologies for the silence. For anyone interested in an update on the progress of the YaST Education module, I invite you to check out [1]. Of course, you can always just skip to the Flickr gallery [2] to view the screenshots. I won't be insulted -- I would do it. =)
After fighting the YaST Python bindings for a bit, I am on track and am currently finishing up the GUI screens. I am hoping by mid next week to have all reading/writing of the module configuration itself done and all screens fully working and (hopefully) bug free, and then it comes time to actually configure components such as Dansguardian, etc.
You'll notice I don't have any server screenshots in my photostream. I had mentioned this earlier, but to reiterate, I want to get the desktop stuff out of the way first since it accounts for the majority of the module. I will then go back once I have all the desktop stuff working and fill in the server stuff. Don't worry, James. I haven't forgotten about you. =)
If anyone has any suggestions or comments, feel free to send them along. Note that a few of the screens are work in progress, so ignore the aesthetic issues you see in the last two screens (access time restrictions and firewall). Thanks.
Hi, is there any difference (or a linkage) between unix users/groups and users/groups in your Yast module? I did not catch anything from your screenshots, so now it seems to me you spent much time on duplicating of existing functionality (well, with slightly better UI ;-)). I have read the wiki [1], but it seems that you take care just about user/groups managing.
