Perhaps we can have a look at their list of "wanted apps" and include some

Can you poke them to hurry up? we can then release live media with
their list included along with our GM.

But that shouldn't block the release of your current announcement. I just
have one question in mind:
Is the ISO in the openSUSE-Buildservice now nearly the same as the Studio
one (beside the branding stuff)? That would really be great!

Studio image is 1G bigger than the one on oBS. I prefer oBS over
studio as it is more flexible and suits our need better. We can do
branding on oBS too.

Why? Because we can perhaps start building a bigger (and perhaps even a
smaller) Live-DVD/CD containing nearly all applications wanted by the
openSUSE-Edu users - and refreshed automatically with every package
update...

I was planning things in the same line, refresh at every package
update would earn us wrath of oBS team :)

Create small CDs (700M) perhaps with a lightweight DE, and one full
4.3G monster with everything from Edu we can fit in.

We can also do gnome 2.26 based and one kde4.2.x based 2G images with
edu packages.

And of course Edu server disk with moodle, class, elgg etc server
packages preconfigured.

How does this sound?

Cheers
