Greetings, List. We are a school district which uses MS windows and Mac OS X for all of its' workstations. I am considering using a Linux distro for some desktops, but there are requirements which must be met in order for use inside our district. In particular, the Active Directory supplied Home Folder must be used for all logins. In our case, we have a home folder server for each building. All users are assigned a server via the Active Directory Home Folder entry, and this directory should be the one used for the user's home folder, no matter what server they are connecting to. I am looking for a Linux distribution that does this correctly, and without much re-writing of the PAM scripts. From the looks of things, OpenSUSE might be the right choice. Would somebody be so kind to point me in the direction of documentation on how to do this? Also, I'm curious on how others on this list are imaging their computers. What software are you using? Thanks for any input. --Matt Ross -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-edu+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-edu+help@opensuse.org
