Hi Lars,
Good to read you. It is openSUSE 10.3. I have used the
openSUSE-Education-1.0-for-10.3-TEST.iso for installation.
Thanks for all the information about the Education project.
Linux is a Trade Mark, so to use Linux as a trading name for
www.linuxuniversity.fr I applied for a license with http://www.linuxmark.org/
I also run NUI.fr in France and this week end we are going there :
http://www.salon-informatique-maubeuge.com/
We will be the only LUG to promote openSUSE for a 24 nonstop show....
Best wishes,
Jimmy

Sounds great!
Which openSUSE Version did you use?
For openSUSE 10.2 we already have the openSUSE-Education Add on 1.0
available for download on (for example)
ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/education/
This media is an add on media which can be used during installation or
afterwards to install the educational applications ready for openSUSE.
At the moment, we are working on a version for openSUSE 10.3 which
should be ready in a few days (hopefully) containing a lot of
additional packages in comparision to the 10.2 release. Currently the
RC2 is ready for download in the same directory (see above). I hope we
can release the final one next week - but this depends on fixing the
last bugs (reported on http://bugs.opensuse-education.org/) and get
everything build as we need it.
Perhaps it's a good starting point to read the wiki pages under
http://en.opensuse.org/Education to get an overview about the project
and the current status.
Whatever that means - sounds good ;-)
With kind regards,
Lars

2. We have now a sub licence to use Linux as www.linuxuniversity.fr
